Everyone is given 24 hours in a day. A healthy amount of sleep usually constitutes 8 hours a night, leaving us with 16 hours a day to get things done. Most of us are held within the restraint of full-time work. We, then have less than 8 hours to allocate according to our passions, hobbies, friends, family, and lifestyle. Many individuals may look at this lack of time and proclaim, “If only there were a few extra hours in the day.” Since we have yet to learn how to freeze or otherwise manipulate time, we are therefore left to our own devices. Learning how to squeeze more activities into your day can be easy to do once you start putting a few simple methods into practice.

There are so many things that waste our time that we are not even aware of. When our days are unorganized, you can end up wasting hours on activities that just seem to happen. Slipping into a trap of binge-watching your favorite TV show can easily knock out 3 or 4 hours from your free time. Make sure to manage your time wisely and you will be able to fit may more activities into your day.

Stop wasting your time

There are a lot of things that many of us do that quite simply just waste our time. Surfing the internet and social media sites can be fun to do but it can end up consuming you for hours on end. It is important to remember that while spending a little bit of time browsing the internet can be fun, too much of it can really keep you from doing other more important tasks. This can be true with video games as well. Video games are very addicting and can keep you glued to the storyline for hours on end. You need to make sure that you pace yourself and ask yourself how long you are really willing to play this game.

Prioritize your activities

You need to put first things first when it comes to your daily activities. Really look at the things you want to accomplish in life.If you want to advance your career as a salesman, read sales books and attend seminars that are going to help you succeed in your chosen field. Likewise, if you want to be a pro skater, spend a great deal of your time at the skatepark mastering your tricks. Making a list of priorities will help you accomplish your most important daily tasks first. Then, once you have completed all of the essential tasks, you will have time for recreational activities.

Don’t procrastinate

Staying caught up in life is a great way to have more activities in your day. When you procrastinate, there is always a cram period. During this cram period, you do not have the option to have any leisure time or recreation. Make sure that you always stay on top of your important projects in order to avoid this cram period

Don’t sleep in

As simple as it sounds, oversleeping can really take away from your daily activities. The more hours you oversleep, the less time you will have to accomplish all of the important tasks in your life. Make sure you are getting a healthy amount of sleep, but don’t overdo it.
